LIFE CERTIFICATES FOR PENSIONERS :
One of the major requisite for the pensioners post their retirement from service, is to provide life certificates every year , normally in the month of November , to the authorized pension disbursing agencies like Banks, Post offices etc., following which their pension is credited to their account.
VARIOUS MODES OF SUBMISSION OF LIFE CERIFICATES :
A. Manually :
1. BY VISTING PENSION PAYING OFFICE :
Life certificate can be submitted by the pensioners in November month by visiting Pension paying banks or Pension Disbursing Agency . In order to get this life certificate the individual drawing the pension is required to either personally present oneself before the Pension Disbursing Agency or have the Life Certificate issued by authority where they have served earlier and have it delivered to the disbursing agency.
2. WITHOUT VISITING PENSION PAYING OFFICES :
Pensioners who cannot visit pension paying office , can produce specified Life Certificates forms issued by Designated Officials . Designated officials include Magistrate , Police officer above the rank of Sub Inspector , Registrar , Post Master , Gazetted Officers , Class 1 officers of RBI / SBI , Member of Parliament , BDO , Village panchayat Heads
B. Digitally : Pensioners can also submit Life certificates , from the comfort of their homes , by using various Digital applications . Some of the such applications are

Other than above universal Apps , pensioners drawing pension from State Bank of India , Indian overseas Bank , UCO Bank , Indian Bank and Bank of Baroda can submit video life certificates sitting at their homes , You can get the details in the following paragraphs .
VIDEO LIFE CERTIFICATES FOR IOB PENSIONERS :
Dated 31.10.2023 : Now public sector bank Indian Overseas Bank is also offering the services of video life certificates for the retirees who are having pension accounts with them .
Before calling them for the video certificate , following pre-requisite must be met :
1. The pension should be received in Indian Overseas Bank savings bank account . 2. The pension disbursing authority must be IOB .
3. The mobile number of the pensioner must be linked to the bank account and aadhaar 4. The pensioner should be present in India during video based life certificate submission
5. The aadhaar and PAN number of the pensioner must be linked to SB account of the pensioner For fixing video calls and complete formalities , you may visit Indian Overseas Bank website
VIDEO LIFE CERTIFICATES FOR CANARA BANK PENSIONERS :
Dated 16.11.2021 : Now public sector bank Canara Bank is also offering the services of video life certificates for the retirees who are having pension accounts with them .
Before calling them for the video certificate , you have to hold your original PAN Card with you and your mobile should have been linked to your Aadhaar .

VIDEO LIFE CERTIFICATES FOR UCO BANK PENSIONERS :
Dated 07.11.2021 : Now UCO Bank has also extended Video Life certificates for retirees drawing pension through them . If you are drawing pension through UCO Bank , you may use following procedure to submit it :
1. Pensioners has to register for m-Passbook , if not already registered . 2. The VLC facility will be available and visible for persons agaed 60 years and above in mPASSBOOK app .
3. Pensioner ahs to upload PAN Card , photo and signature card and request for VLC verification . 4. The pensioner has to update Date and state
5. Bank will send SMS for confirmation .
Process : 1. Login to mPASSBOOK app and open Video Life Certificate option .
2. You have to select your account number and app will show your PPO number . 3. You may upload signature and Photo
4. Then you have to select date and time slot for further processing . 5. You also have to select state and a request to VKYC admin portal of Aadhaar enrolment centre will go .
6. A video call will be scheduled by VLC Centre . At the scheduled time VLC officials will make Vdeo call and verify the documents uploaded . 7. Video call will be reviewed by Bnak officials and submission of life certificate will be confirmed .

VIDEO LIFE CERTIFICATES FOR SBI PENSIONERS :
PENSION SEVA PORTAL OF SBI
Video Life Certificates : State Bank of India has started a new service called ” VIDEO LIFE CERTIFICATES ” for the pensioners drawing pension through SBI . If you are drawing pension through SBI , you may use following procedure to submit it :
1. Go to Pension seva portal of SBI by CLICKING HERE
2. Enter your account number in which your pension is being credited
3. Enter Captcha seen on the screen . 4. You will get OTP in your registered mobile number .
5. Show your PAN Card while interacting with SBI official . 6. Your submission of Life Certificate will be complete
Note :
1. Your mobile number should be registered with Aadhaar to your pension account number . 2. You have to show your PAN Card to the SBI Official while recording the Video call .
VIDEO LIFE CERTIFICATES FOR BANK OF BARODA PENSIONERS :
Bank of Baroda has launched a Video Based life Certificate updation service for Central & State Govt Pensioners. The Facility will allow pensioners to submit their life certificate through video call at the ease of home.The pensioner is required to follow the below mentioned steps to submit life Certificate via video call:Step 1: Login Pension Saarthi portal and click on the Video Based life certificate TAB

Step 2: Enter PPO number and Account number registered with the Pension paying branch
Step 3: Enter the one-time Password(OTP) received on your registered mobile number with BOB & AADHAR click on “Submit”.
Step 4: pensioner needs to select the below details
Whether Re-Employed – Yes / No
Whether Re-Married – Yes / No
Income less than 9000+DA – Yes / No
Differently Abled – Yes / No
Step 5: After submission of Details Pensioner has to select an option to schedule the call Now or as per convenience(Later).
Step 6: Keep your Original Photo ID card ready before starting the call and the pensioner will be required to grant the permission for strating the Video Call. Once the permission is granted the same will be redirected to BOB agent as soon as he/she is available .
Step 7: Show the Photo ID card so that Bank official can capture it and the questionnaire will be shown on the screen of the pensioner for the details to be entered.
Step 8: After successful capturing of the images, the OTP received on the AADHAR registered mobile number to be shared by pensioner with the Bank official.
Step 9: After Successful capturing of process the life certificate will be updated in pension software and if the same is rejected then the same will be informed via SMS and EMail.
VIDEO LIFE CERTIFICATES THROUGH INDIAN BANK :
Public sector bank Indian Bank is also offering video life certificate service both for their employee pensioners as well as retirees obtaining pension through Indian Bank account .
